VINCENT KENNEDYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will say whether the Police Gazette contains a list of firms which have been connected with fraudulent transactions or are specially noted in the Gazette for exceptional police attention; and will he supply a list of the names and location of these firms.
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. GLAD-STONE,) Leeds, W.A list of firms concerning whose methods many complaints have been received is published annually in the Police Gazette for the information of police forces. The information this Gazette supplies is strictly confidential and privileged, and there would be grave objections to publishing it.
