HC Deb 12 May 1908 vol 188 cc916-7
MR. O'GRADY

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for India whether an agreement has been made between the Canadian Government and the Home Government respecting the immigration of British-Indian subjects into Canada; and, if so, is he in a position to state to the House the nature of such agreement.

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Colonel SEELY, Liverpool, Abercromby)

My right hon. friend has asked me to reply to this Question. I am afraid I cannot do more than refer the hon. Member to my reply to the Question on this subject put by the hon. Member for the Montgomery Boroughs on Thursday last. We are awaiting the receipt of copies of Mr. Mackenzie King's report to the Canadian Government.
