HC Deb 12 May 1908 vol 188 c937
MR. J. DEVLIN (Belfast. W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he could state the probable cost of the Belfast Health Commission; and whether the whole of the cost would have to be defrayed by the ratepayers.

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. BIRRELL,) Bristol, N.

The cost of the inquiry in question has not yet been ascertained. It has been arranged that £500 of the cost will be borne by the Exchequer; the remainder will fall upon the local rates.
