Member for the Ealing Division of Middlesex, I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the new battleship "Vanguard" is expected to be completed within twenty-four months of her commencement, and from what date is the commencement of her construction to be reckoned.
§ MR. MCKENNAMessrs. Vickers contracted to complete and deliver the "Vanguard" in twenty-four months from 1st March last, viz., 1st March, 1910. It is expected that the vessel will be completed and delivered by that date. The vessel may be reckoned as having been effectively commenced on 1st March last.
