HC Deb 07 May 1908 vol 188 c423
MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can give any information with regard to the reported resignation of the Persian Government; and whether any steps have been deemed necessary to safeguard the lives and interests of British subjects in the event of disturbances in the capital.

SIR EDWARD GREY

I have no information as to the reported resignation of the Persian Government. So far as I am aware, there is no reason to apprehend any disturbances at Tehran involving danger to the lives and interests of British subjects in the capital.
