HC Deb 07 May 1908 vol 188 c394
MR. BOTTOMLEY (Hackney, S.)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in 1904, whilst under the command of Colonel Allenby and stationed at Colchester, A squadron of the 5th Lancers mutinied, and this mutiny was condoned; and, if so, whether such condonation is in violation of the King's Regulations and without precedent in the British Army.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) Nothing is known of the mutiny referred to by my hon. friend.
