HC Deb 06 May 1908 vol 188 c228
MR. ALDEN (Middlesex, Tottenham)

To ask the Prime Minister whether he has in view any modification of the existing arrangements in connection with the administrative work of the Local Government Board, the Board of Trade, and the Home Office; whether he would consider the practicability of co-ordinating the work of these Departments in respect of unemployment and child life; and whether he would also consider the formation of subordinate Departments especially designed to deal with these questions.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) I have nothing at present to add to the Answer which I gave on Monday to my hon. friend the Member for Preston; but the suggestions made by my hon. friend will be considered by the Committee.
