HC Deb 06 May 1908 vol 188 cc260-1
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Prime Minister when the plans of the Government for dealing with the financial difficulty in connection with the Irish Land Act of 1903 will be laid before Parliament; and whether it is intended to deal with the matter by legislation.

MR. ASQUITH

The recommendations of the Departmental Committee and the suggestions and criticisms which they have elicited are under consideration, but I fear I cannot at present make a more definite statement.

MR. LONSDALE

Is it intended to deal with this most important matter by legislation?

>MR. ASQUITH

I cannot say until full consideration has been given to it.
