HC Deb 06 May 1908 vol 188 c234
*MR. REES

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the difficulties experienced in connection with the creation of the Indian Institute of Science have been overcome, and when the institution will come into being.

MR. BUCHANAN

The Secretary of State has no official information as to the arrangements made, but it is understood that the building of the institute at Bangalore is now to be proceeded with forthwith, and that meantime temporary arrangements for starting work in some of its branches will be made.
