HC Deb 06 May 1908 vol 188 c254
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has any information with regard to a shooting outrage at the house of a man named Murphy, at a place about seven miles from Ballinrobe, county Mayo, on the 25th April; and whether any arrests have been made in connection with the occurrence.

MR. BIRRELL

On the evening of 19th April, two shots were fired into the house of James Murphy in the district of Ballinrobe. The police have carefully investigated the case, but have not yet succeeded in obtaining evidence which would justify them in making arrests.
