I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that a petition was presented to his Department from the preventive men of His Majesty's Customs in November 1906; and, if so, can he state when a reply to such petition is likely to be given.

I have caused inquiry to be made and I cannot find that such a memorial has been received in the Department.
