§ MR. HAROLD COXI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the fact that the charges of drunkenness at the Manchester police court on 2nd April wore increased in number by the appearance of several Army pensioners who had drawn their pay on Wednesday and got drunk on the money at night; and whether he will cause the names of these pensioners to be registered, and will ma such new arrangement for the payment of their pensions as will prevent them from continuing to disgrace His Majesty's Army.
§ MR. ACLANDNothing is known in the War Office of the matters mentioned but inquiries will be made and such action will be taken as may appear necessary in regard to the future payment of the men's pensions.
§ MR. CROOKSWill the Government now carry out their promise to pay these pensions monthly rather than quarterly?
§ MR. ACLANDI believe that matter has been settled. But I would like notice of the Question.
