§ MR. BARRIE (Londonderry, N.)To ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that there is only one daily delivery of mails to houses situate within 1¼mile from the Post Office at Limavady, a town of some 2,800 inhabitants; whether there are several houses and premises, each of over £100 annual valuation, on the road leading 1635 from Limavady to Dungiven within 1¼mile from the Post Office, and whose occupants have considerable business and personal correspondence; whether he is aware that the English and Scottish mails are not delivered at such residences until twenty-two hours after their receipt in Limavady; and whether steps will be taken to provide a second daily delivery within such a radius, seeing that in the County Kildare there is a second daily delivery to houses two miles beyond the nearest village of only 800 inhabitants.
(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) I will have inquiry made on the subject, and will send the hon. Member a reply.
