HC Deb 04 May 1908 vol 187 c1649
*MR. REES (Montgomery Boroughs)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Government of Natal proposes to introduce a Bill to control Indian immigration during the coming session; and whether or not in such Bill it is proposed to cancel the licences of Arab traders ten years hence, the State compensating the losers of such licences.

A statement to this effect has been made in the Press, but no official information has at present been received.
