HC Deb 04 May 1908 vol 187 c1665
MR. J. MACVEAGH (Down, S.)

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, before entering into any new contract with the Canadian Pacific Railway for the conveyance of mails, he will take care to ascertain the views of the Irish representatives as to the feasibility of the proposed alternative route.

MR. CHARLES HOBHOUSE

The new contract cannot be concluded until it has been confirmed by a Resolution of the House of Commons.
