§ MR. BELLAIRS (Lynn Regis)To ask the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he can complete the Returns issued in 1900, showing that military operations had been undertaken by India between 1848 and 1898 on no less than 110 occasions, by stating on 1534 how many occasions military operations have been undertaken by India on the North-West frontier, the North-East frontier, and beyond India in the period 1899–1908, inclusive.
(Answered by Mr. Buchanan.) The Secretary of State for India will ask the Government of India to prepare a Return of the principal military operations since 1898.
