WATTI beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether he is aware that some sheriff clerks in Scotland are also engaged in trade and utilise the one function for the benefit of the other; and whether, in the pubic interest, he will bring pressure to bear on the existing sheriff clerks who are in that position and refrain from appointing such in future.
