HC Deb 30 March 1908 vol 187 c95
MR. FELL

I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, if he is taking any steps to encourage amongst farmers the formation of co-operative societies for the collection and grading of farm produce such as eggs, butter, and fowls, and the marketing of it in London or elsewhere; and if his attention has been called to the success of some of these societies.

SIR EDWARD STRACHEY

We are aware of the success which has frequently attended the formation of co-operative societies for the purposes to which the hon. Member refers, and we have from time to time published information on the subject in our Journal. We have also issued leaflets on the subject, which have been widely circulated.
