HC Deb 30 March 1908 vol 187 c103
MR. CHARLES CRAIG

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, whether cattle were driven from a farm in the townland of Ballinbull, near Ballina, on the 19th or 20th instant; and, if so, whether any arrests have been made in connection with it.

MR. BIRRELL

The police have been informed that on the 20th instant, the herd of a grazing farm at the place named found that a gate which he had left unlocked was standing open and that twenty-seven cattle were missing. The herd states that he called the cattle, according to his custom, to feed them, when the majority at once ran to him from an adjoining lane, and the remainder he found on the road close by. No arrests have been made.
