HC Deb 26 March 1908 vol 186 cc1556-7
MR. ASHLEY (Lancashire, Blackpool)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the cordite which has been destroyed since 1st January 1907, either because of deterioration or because of the presence of mercuric chloride, has been replaced; and whether the present stock of cordite is as largo as it was on 1st January, 1907.

MR. EDMUND ROBERTSON

It is not desirable in the public interest to give any detailed information as to the stock of cordite, but it is at least as large as on the 1st January, 1907.
