I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Secretary of State has yet appointed a Committee to inquire into and report upon the constitution, administration, and internal management of the office of the Crown Agents for the Colonies, as promised; and, if so, whether he has any objection to give the names of the members of the Committee and the terms of reference.

Mr. CHURCHILL

No, Sir; but the Secretary of State has made considerable progress in that direction, and I hope that before long it may be possible to make a statement.
