HC Deb 24 March 1908 vol 186 c1347

Motion made and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time."

Objection having been taken,

MR. PIKE PEASE

appealed to hon. Members not to press the objection. There was a very strong feeling in the country in favour of the Bill.

MR. HOLT

I think it is a most objectionable Bill, and I certainly cannot withdraw.

Second Reading deferred until 25th March.
