HC Deb 23 March 1908 vol 186 c1063
MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, can he say whether a rule exists which imposes on the members of the Royal Irish Constabulary the necessity of having at least two successful prosecutions every month in the local petty sessions.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) There is no rule in the Royal Irish Constabulary to the effect stated, nor is there any rule whatever dealing with the number of prosecutions by members of the force.
