HC Deb 23 March 1908 vol 186 c1081
MR. BOWERMAN

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has received petitions from the cab drivers of Clapham Junction, Battersea, and Wimbledon, praying for the opening of Clapham Junction and Wimbledon stations in accordance with the London Cab and Stage Carriage Act, 1907; if so, whether he can state what reply he has given or intends to give to the petitions; and whether he will put the Act into operation at Beckenham Junction, Blackheath, and East and West Croydon stations.

MR. GLADSTONE

Petitions respecting Clapham Junction and Wimbledon have been received and are under my consideration, but I am not yet in a position to give a definite answer either as regards those stations or the others mentioned by the hon. Member.
