To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he can state generally the nature and scope of the Amendments he now considers necessary to the Bill he recently introduced for regulating the hours of. work in mines.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) I am not yet in a position to make any statement although, as I have once or twice indicated, I think some Amendment will be necessary.
