HC Deb 18 March 1908 vol 186 cc591-2
MR. A. J. BALFOUR () City of London

asked in what order the Votes would be taked the next day.

MR. ASQUITH

First the Navy Votes 10 and I, and then the Army Votes A.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I thought there was a private understanding between my right hon. friend the Member for the Wellington Division of Somerset, and the Patronage Secretary to the Treasury that Vote 10 of the Navy should be taken first, and that Vote 1 should be postponed till after the Army Vote A.

MR. ASQUITH

If the right hon. Gentleman prefers that, it can be done.
