HC Deb 17 March 1908 vol 186 cc417-8
MR. LUNDON (Limerick, E.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he is aware that not long since Croker Barrington, Esquire, of Barrington's Bridge, Limerick, purchased from the late owner, Maunsell Dixon, an estate of 200 or 300 acres commonly called the Mulcair estate, convenient to where he lives; and will he get the Estates Commissioners to approach Mr. Barrington with a view of obtaining the estate for the benefit of the landless people of the locality.

MR. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners will make inquiries as to the estate referred to, and if it should be found suitable for their purposes they will approach the owner with a view to purchase.
