HC Deb 16 March 1908 vol 186 cc189-90
SIR GILBERT PARKER

I beg to to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the new Land Ordinance for British East Africa is now under consideration by the Colonial Office; and whether it will be submitted to Parliament before being despatched to British East Africa.

MR. CHURCHILL

Instructions will shortly be sent with regard to the provisions of the new Land Ordinance which it is intended to introduce in the Legislature of the East Africa Protectorate. There will be no objection to the despatch conveying these instructions being laid before Parliament as soon as it has been received in East Africa.
