To ask the Secretary of State for War if he will state how long men who enlist for service in the Special Reserve will be compelled to remain in. the Special Reserve before they are allowed to transfer to the Regular Army.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane) A Special Reservist below the age of eighteen cannot enlist into the Regular Army until he has completed six months-drill on enlistment. If eighteen years of age he may join after completing; three months drill on enlistment.
