HC Deb 10 March 1908 vol 185 c1288
MR. HART-DAVIES (Hackney, N.)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been drawn to the prevalent state of lawlessness and insecurity of person and property in the city of Karachi; and whether he will urge on the Government of India the necessity of a speedy reorganisation of the police.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Morley.) I have seen reports in the newspapers, from which I gather that the Government of Bombay have recently made urgent representations on this subject to the Government of India. I have no doubt that the Government of India will deal with the question of reorganisation as expeditiously as possible, and I do not think that any action on my part is necessary.
