HC Deb 09 March 1908 vol 185 c1132
MR. WEDGWOOD

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will endeavour to arrange to take the Second Reading of the Children Bill at an early date.

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. ASQUITH,) Fifeshire, E.

We hope to take the Second Reading of this Bill as soon as possible after the necessary financial business has been concluded this month, unless, as I indicated in my statement on Thursday last, it is found possible to take it to-morrow.
