§ MR. YOUNGER (Ayr Burghs)To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will furnish a Return showing in respect of every rural parish and every ward of a borough or urban district, and of every borough and urban district not divided into wards, the population per acre and the existing number of on-licences in such parish, ward, borough, or urban district.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) My right hon. friend has asked me to answer this Question. I regret that it is impossible to obtain and tabulate the information for which the hon. Member asks without very great labour, extending 1081 over a period which would prevent the issue of any such Return in time to be of commensurate value for the purposes of the discussion on the Licensing Bill.
