HC Deb 09 March 1908 vol 185 c1100
* MR. REES (Montgomery Boroughs)

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Government contemplates taking any such action in respect of Nyassaland as was taken by the Government of the Dominion of Canada to advertise its resources in the early days of its development.

MR. CHURCHILL

The conditions of Nyassaland are very different from those of the Dominion of Canada, and the Secretary of State does not propose to take any steps to call attention to its resources except by the publication of the Annual Reports, and such special reports on the industries and resources of the country as may be received from time to time.
