§ MR. THOMAS O'DONNELLTo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether he has received from teachers in Ireland, known as transition teachers, a statement embodying their claims; whether he is aware that in the issue of the National Board's Rules, 1902, it was stated that special consideration would be given to the cases of those teachers and their 1096 claims dealt with as if they were in the service before the issue of the new rules of 1900; whether, seeing that no consideration has been given but that injustice has been inflicted, he will cause an inquiry to be made into the whole facts and circumstances connected with the payment of those teachers.
(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I beg to refer the hon. Member to the Answer which I gave on the 3rd instant to the similar Question put by the hon. Member for South Down.
