HC Deb 05 March 1908 vol 185 cc857-8
Mr. WILLIAM ABRAHAM (Cork County, N.E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have received an application from Mr. John Mulcahy, of Curriheen, an evicted tenant, for reinstatement on the estate of the Duke of Devonshire, Conna, County Cork; and what has been the result of the action of the Estates Commissioners in endeavouring to effect his restoration to the holding, which is untenanted and in the possession of the landlord.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners have received an application from John Mulcahy, who was evicted from a holding on the estate of the Duke of Devonshire at present in the possession of the owner. The Commissioners are in communication with the owner with a view to the reinstatement of Mulcahy, who is considered to be a suitable person to work a holding.
