§ MR. O'GRADY (Leeds, E.)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he can state the amount of the subsidy granted by the Government of India to the cost of the Indian section, of the Franco-British Exhibition.
§ MR. BUCHANANA grant of £10,000 has been made and a further sum of £5,000 has been guaranteed. The latter will be drawn upon only if there should be a deficit in the working of the section. The Committee hope to recover eventually 564 a substantial part of any excess expenditure above £10,000.
