I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education if he can see his way to appoint a Committee to inquire into the question of the employment of half-timers.

I propose to appoint an Inter-departmental Committee, of which my hon. friend the Parliamentary Secretary of the Board has consented to act as Chairman. The constitution of the Committee will be announced shortly.
