HC Deb 29 June 1908 vol 191 c342
MR. FELL (Great Yarmouth)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty if the coastguards will be drawn upon to assist in manning the ships to take part in the summer manœuvres; and, if so, to what extent and in which fleet will they be employed.

The summer embarkation of a section of the coastguard is provided for in the Coastguard Regulations, and will take place this summer as usual. The total number of coastguard men to be embarked is 1,300, and they will be employed in the ships of the Home Fleet.
