HC Deb 25 June 1908 vol 191 c55
MR. ALDEN (Middlesex, Tottenham)

To ask the First Commissioner of Works whether he will consider the question of appointing a Select Committee to inquire into the existing accommodation of the Law Courts, with a view to ascertaining how far a rearrangement of courts and rooms might be made which would obviate the necessity of building upon the existing garden and open space.

(Answered by Mr. Harcourt.) I regret that I am unable to adopt the proposal of my hon. friend. The question of accommodation has been considered very fully with the judicial authorities, and no rearrangement such as he suggests is possible.
