I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland, in view of the fact that out of 1,103 steam-propelled vessels engaged in the Scottish fisheries last year 287 were engaged in trawling, will he state how this latter figure compares with the number of steam trawlers employed during each of the five preceding years.
