HC Deb 01 June 1908 vol 189 cc1523-4
MR. ASHLEY (Lancashire, Blackpool)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether, in order to provide quarters for married officers stationed at Tidworth and Bulford, he is prepared, with the concurrence of the War Office, to sanction the hiring of houses for a term of years up to the limit of the lodging allowance allowed to the various grades of officers.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The hon. Member has been already informed that the whole question of the provision of accommodation for married officers was being considered by the Army Council. No definite decision has as yet been reached.
