HC Deb 01 June 1908 vol 189 c1521
MR. CLANCY (Dublin County, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the attention of the Estates Commissioners was drawn several months since to the case of a tenant named Lynch, evicted from a holding on the Holmpatrick Estate, county of Dublin, and again recently, and that the Estates Commissioners took no notice of the communications made to them in reference to this matter, although the writer was a person of position and consequence; and whether they intend to take any steps in the case.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners are unable to identify the application to which the Question refers. The only application for reinstatement made by a person named Lynch, in respect of a holding situate in county Dublin, is one signed by Annie Lynch, who appears to be resident in Philadelphia. This application was received in November, 1907, and the Commissioners will consider it in due course, regard being had to the applications which were lodged at earlier dates.
