HC Deb 30 July 1908 vol 193 cc1706-7
MR. THOMAS F. SMYTH

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if the Estates Commissioners will reconsider their decision as regards the reinstatement of Michael Dunne, son of the late Thomas Dunne, an evicted tenant at Mong, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, on the Marsham estate; and, in the event of his being unable to get the farm from which his father was evicted, will he be provided with another farm elsewhere.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners inform me that Michael Dunne is at present in occupation of a farm. The holding to which he seeks to be restored has been occupied by the present tenant since 1881. The Commissioners do not consider the matter to be one calling for any action on their part.
