HC Deb 30 July 1908 vol 193 cc1705-6
MR. THOMAS F. SMYTH (Leitrim, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he has received a copy of the resolution passed by the Mo- hill, County Leitrim, board of guardians at their meeting held on Thursday the 9th instant, with reference to extending the time for repayment of the seed loan to four years from two years as at present arranged; and, if so, will the said recommendation be carried out.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I have received a copy of the Resolution referred to. A period of two years has in the past proved sufficient for the repayment of the cost of the seed, and I am not aware of any adequate reason for extending the time on the present occasion.
