§ MR. LAMONT (Buteshire)I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the inconvenience caused to the people of Millport by the frequent interruption of the telegraph service, due to the bad condition of the cable between that place and the mainland; and whether he will give instructions to have the cable repaired or replaced at an early date.

Member will kindly give me particulars of the alleged "frequent interruption." In consequence of the recent interruption it was decided about a week ago to supply a new shore end to this cable.
