HC Deb 29 July 1908 vol 193 c1470
MR. BOLAND

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Congested Districts Board now propose to carry out the necessary works of improvement at Roads and Glen boat-slips, seeing that under the present conditions it is not possible for the fishermen to carry on the fishing industry.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Congested Districts Board intend to carry out the work at Roads during the present summer. The Board have already expended £451 at Glen Boat Cove, but after the work was finished the fishermen asked to have a boat yard constructed. They have been informed that the Board have no funds for expenditure on fresh projects of the kind this year.
