MR. EVELYN CECIL (Aston Manor)

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether His Majesty's Government can yet see their way toward promoting or establishing a direct British steamship line to East Africa.

(Answered by Colonel Seely.) The question is engaging the attention of His Majesty's Government. While endeavouring to find a satisfactory solution of it they are not at present in a position to make any public statement.
