HC Deb 28 July 1908 vol 193 c1180
MR. CARR-GOMM (Southwark, Rotherhithe)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether any attempt was made by the Post Office to utilise the London County Council Steamboat Service for the purpose of the conveyance of mails, in accordance with Clause 36 of the Thames River Steamboat Service Act, 1904.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The steamboats on the Thames have not been used for the conveyance of mails, as it did not at any time appear that an improvement in the service could have been affected by their use.
