§ MR. J. PHILLIPS (Longford, S.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if the Estates Commissioners will reinstate Gerald Daly, of Ballymahon, county Longford, in a farm from which he was evicted off, the property of W. Molyneux Shouldham, now in the possession of the Commissioners, or about to be purchased by them for the tenants of this estate, and if not, why will they not do so.
(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The reply is in the negative. The holding in which Gerald Daly claims reinstatement consisted of a house, yard, and out-offices, and was, therefore, not one to which the Land Law Acts applied. The applicant is not eligible for reinstatement under Section 2 (1) (d) of the Act of 1903.
