HC Deb 27 July 1908 vol 193 c823
MR. FINDLAY (Lanarkshire, N.E.)

To ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, in view of the population which will be located at Rosyth on the completion of the naval works there, sufficient area of land has been secured for laying out a town on garden city lines to the best advantage, for the health and well-being of the people, as befits the spirit of the age.

(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) The naval works at Rosyth will not be completed for seven years after the contract is let, so that the question will not be a practicable one for a considerable time. In any case the Admiralty do not possess sufficient land to lay out a garden city themselves.
